Henry Irving, Head of Audit Futures at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) discusses recent research on what skills and behaviors a professional accountant of today and of the future needs. He highlights three attributes needed for a successful accountancy career: 1) technical excellence, 2) engagement, and 3) ethics. The ICAEW considers these three to be the “DNA” of a future professional.
