What is protected by IFAC's intellectual property rights?
Publications
All information and publications on the IFAC website are protected by intellectual property rights. This includes international standards, supporting materials, and other content.
Trademarks
IFAC's trademarks, service marks, logos, and other brand features, as well as those of the IAASB, IESBA and IPSASB, are protected by intellectual property rights in the United States and globally.

What are the rules for using IFAC's intellectual property?
IFAC’s intellectual property can be used for individual reference and non-commercial use, but cannot be reproduced either digitally or in print on a non-individual basis or used for commercial purposes without a written agreement.
This means you can access and read IFAC materials for personal study, research, or other non-commercial activities. However, you cannot:
- Upload or distribute the materials on websites, social media, or other platforms.
- Incorporate the materials into derivative works or other publications, including translations.
- Use the materials in a commercial setting, such as for training programs or software.
- Modify, copy, transmit, display or otherwise sell any publication or product that incorporates IFAC’s intellectual property, whether in part or in whole.
To use IFAC intellectual property for any use other than individual reference, you must obtain written permission. This can be done by submitting a request through the IFAC online permission request and inquiry system (OPRI).
