IFAC and the MOSAIC Steering committee are pleased to announce the organization of the Towards a Sustainable Future Forum which will be held online December 7 - 8, 2021.
The COVID 19 pandemic highlighted the vulnerabilities of public finances and infrastructure across the globe. The COVID-19 pandemic has put a spotlight on structural problems existing in many jurisdictions and is a wake-up call to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable and inclusive global economy that can achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The accountancy profession has an important role to play in achieving a more sustainable future by supporting strong PFM that enables better decisions for people, the planet, and the economy. The Towards a Sustainable Future Forum will provide you with an overview of the tools and resources available to support a transparent and accountable public sector. The forum will also highlight the importance of establishing a sustainability reporting framework and will consider the impact of the adoption and implementation of the international auditing standards in addressing an evolving and increasingly complex environment.
