The Independent International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) Chair Search Committee

The primary purpose of the Independent IPSASB Chair Search Committee (Search Committee) is to select the next IPSASB Chair for the initial 2026-2028 term of service. The Search Committee is composed of five members, including the Independent Chair, ensuring diversity in terms of gender, geographic representation, and professional backgrounds. Two members are nominated by the Public Interest Committee (PIC), and two members are nominated by IFAC. Additionally, there is the PIC observer, who has speaking rights but no voting rights.

The Search Committee is guided by several key principles:

  • Transparency: Ensuring an open and clear decision-making process.
  • Privacy: Respecting the privacy of candidates throughout the process.
  • Integrity: Maintaining a respectful and fair environment for all participants.

Once the Search Committee has completed the selection profess, its recommendation for the next IPSASB Chair is submitted to the PIC for review and to the IFAC Board for approval.

    Download the Call for Applications. Applications close January 26, 2025 (midnight UTC).

    Applications should consist of a CV/resume and cover letter (two pages maximum), which should include the following information:

    • A brief summary of key achievements and experience that would be an asset to fulfill the role successfully.
    • Three key objectives that candidates expect to achieve during the initial three-year term of service.
    • A brief statement explaining their leadership style and experience leading global boards or teams.
