To mark this year’s International Women's Day (IWD), we invited two empowering leaders and diversity champions:

Meggie Palmer, the founder of PepTalkHer, an organization with the mission of closing the gender pay gap. Meggie and her team trained tens of thousands of professionals globally and helped companies achieve gender parity at all levels of the organization. In her former life, Meggie spent 15 years as a journalist and foreign correspondent traveling from Syria to Italy telling stories for networks including BBC World, CNBC, Channel 7, and Vogue.

Kimberly Ellison-Taylor, CEO of KET Solutions, a consulting firm focused on business growth, innovation, strategy, transformation, and inclusive leadership. Prior to this role, Kimberly served in global leadership roles for Oracle Corporation for nearly 17 years. She is the Chair of the AICPA’s National Commission on Diversity and Inclusion. Kimberly’s expertise and leadership has been recognized many times, including awards such as Accounting Today’s Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting and CPA Practice Advisor’s 25 Most Powerful Women in Accounting.

Elena Churikova

Elena Churikova is the Senior Manager, Governance at IFAC. She supports the work of IFAC’s Nominating Committee and supported the independent search committees for the chairs of the IAASB and IESBA. She is also one of the leaders of IFAC’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives focusing on sourcing and promoting greater diversity among IFAC’s wide volunteer base.

Prior to joining IFAC, Ms. Churikova led the Compliance Division at the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency in Springfield, IL. Before moving to the US, Ms. Churikova held several different positions within governance and education, leading international non-profit organizations in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, including project-based work for World Bank and Save the Children.

Ms. Churikova has a Bachelor’s in Management from the Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University and an MBA from the University of Illinois Springfield.

Bhumi Jariwala

Bhumi Jariwala was previously the editor of the IFAC Knowledge Gateway. Ms. Jariwala has experience in communications, market research, and information technology.

Katherine Martin

Katherine Martin is a former communications manager at IFAC. Ms. Martin's experience includes digital communications, social advocacy, and reporting.
