To celebrate International Women’s Day 2025, the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) proudly presents an insightful and inspiring interview with Taryn Rulton, IFAC Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. This special interview aims to empower women in the accountancy profession, encouraging them to pursue successful and fulfilling careers.

Taryn brings over 30 years of diverse experience across the UK and Australia, encompassing roles in the banking industry, Big-4 firms such as KPMG and EY, government, private companies, NGOs, and universities. Her extensive corporate governance expertise is reflected in her service on multiple corporate boards and committees within the not-for-profit and public sectors.

In this interview, led by Elena Churikova, IFAC Senior Manager, Taryn addresses key questions posed by IFAC’s stakeholders about empowering women, fostering a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I), and building a truly equitable and attractive profession for a sustainable future.
