In October 2023, IFAC's Small- and Medium-Sized Practices Advisory Group (SMPAG) heard a presentation on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) at SMPs.

The presenter, Danielle Supkis-Cheek (SMPAG Member, AICPA), is Vice President, Strategy & Industry Relations at Mindbridge, a leader in AI-powered financial risk discovery for audit. Her presentation covers:  

  • An overview of the different types of AI 
  • Ethical challenges in the use of AI 
  • Practical use of ChatGPT
  • Supervision responsibilities for AI use
